Bow garage's RM1933 has been repainted in a special livery to celebrate the 75th anniversary (Platinum) of the formation of London Transport and Bow bus garage’s centenary. RM1933, built in 1964, began its life at Putney garage operating on route 30. In 1983 it was painted in 1933 style colours for London Transport’s golden jubilee year and then worked at Chalk Farm garage, mostly on route 24. The livery is based on the former LCC's tram livery with platinum to signify LT's 75th anniversary.
RM1933 was withdrawn from service in 1986 and sold to Kelvin Scottish buses, who were taken over by Stagecoach the following year. The bus was transferred to Cumbria then withdrawn again three years later and stored at Whitehaven, before being sold to a dealer in Barnsley. The bus was bought by a preservationist who later sold it to London Buses who had it refurbished with a new engine and gearbox, as well as interior updating. It then worked on route 13 until 2005 when it came back under Stagecoach’s care for use on heritage route 15.
The bus, painted in a platinum and “Indian red” livery, made its first public appearance at Cobham Bus Museum’s open day on 6th April and now works at Bow garage on route heritage route15.
