Fares, passes and Oyster
The fares charged on our bus services are set by Transport for London. There is a flat fare of £2 on nearly all London bus routes which can be reduced to £1.20 if you purchase an Oyster card.
On all routes in central London and articulated bus routes, such as the 25, you have to purchase your ticket from a roadside ticket machine prior to boarding. Cash fares are not taken on the bus. Within central London all buses are "pay before you board" and tickets need to be bought in advance as drivers cannot issue tickets in the area.
Weekly, Monthly & Annual Bus Passes and Travelcards can only be obtained on Oyster Cards. Daily tickets can still be purchased on paper stock. Pay-as-you-go is available on Oyster Cards for a one off £3 deposit and allows you to travel for as little as £1.20 instead of £2 on all your bus journeys throughout London.
